AWS Community Day Netherlands
The AWS User Group Netherlands recently hosted their 6th AWS Community Day at Kinepolis Leidschendam. A highlight was the featured talk, “Building Secure and Efficient SaaS Platforms on AWS Serverless” by Luciano Mammino and Guilherme Dalla Rosa. They explored multi-tenant architectures on AWS, covering security, tenant isolation, and performance. The talk also demonstrated using Cognito for authentication, DynamoDB for tenant data, and Lambda for compute, with insights from the AWS Well-Architected SaaS Lens.

Conor Maher spoke at The Developers Conference in Cluj, Romania. Rust Dublin Meetup
During this session, Roberto Gambuzzi (@gbinside) and Luciano Mammino (@loige) delivered a pragmatic introduction to nom, a renowned Rust parser combinator crate. Essentially, nom serves as a tool that facilitates the creation of parsers, even for more intricate use cases. Attendees gained insights into common suboptimal parsing methods such as string splitting and regex usage as well as fundamental concepts of nom and frequently utilized functions.

Luciano Mammino returned to the international Node.js Conference in Brescia in 2023 to present his talk ‘Did you know JavaScript has iterators?’. In this workshop, Luciano shared different ways to do iteration with JavaScript and Node.js, iteration protocols to standardise synchronous and asynchronous iteration, as well as common use cases for these protocols, great tools for iteration and finally hot tips, common pitfalls, and some (more or less successful) wild ideas!
